Artist Inspired Altered Object
2015 As one of my last projects in my watercolor and acrylics class we were to choose a famous artist and recreate their piece on an object of our choosing. As a lover of Van Gogh, I decided to paint Starry Night onto a camping chair. I loved this project so much because not only was it one of my most successful and unique pieces but it also resulted in a usable object that I can hold onto. It was a great challenge and reward.

DrawingAlthough this drawing was already a big challenge for myself I chose to do it in an inverse color style I chose white on black rather than the opposite but after seeing the results I am thankful I had. The photo inspiration was a senior picture of my twin brother and I and I am thankful it is now a piece I can display for not only myself but for my family.
