Concept
Miami has a distinctive style when it comes to the campus's architecture. For my design, I wanted to respect this style. I designed my three spaces as square buildings while also incorporating a sculptural wall. The purpose of this offset wall is to direct visitors into my space. The construction of my three spaces would be majority brick like the two surrounding buildings, but with a curtain window wall on the entrance facade that mimics the CPA windows. For my landscape design, I built a pattern of walkways leading to the most prominent places of interest. I believe overall my design not only flows well with the exterior buildings but also creates a unique model that compliments yet creates tension to the environment. In summary, my intention was to respect Miami's previous architecture without repeating it directly while also incorporating an artistic style to it.
