Concept
For my design for the transit station, I wanted to focus on a calm and simple space. Given the small triangle site and presumably busy area, I thought of placing my building in the bottom right-most corner of the lot. I went with a curved design to relate to the heavy intensity of the sun in the specified area and to focus on a shape with a minimal amount of sharp edges to again promote a calm space. I also chose to offset the balance of my design to promote a sense of movement within the given space. Lastly, i intended for a large area of circulation with a central gathering space surrounded by both internal and external seating arrangements for both individual and group interactions.
